Sat in the mouth of the River Fowey is the popular town of Fowey.
Fowey is home to the Fowey Regatta and Carnival week that’s held each August attracting visitors from all over the world. The Regatta is one of the main UK sailing events. During the week there’s a carnival procession, fireworks displays, crab-catching competition and Fowey harbour swim and so much more.
It’s a lovely town to visit but if you fancy a quieter time maybe avoid Regatta week.
