Torquay is a super traditional English seaside town, set in the heart of The English Riviera. It’s a popular destination for everyone. Agatha Christie, the famous detective novelist, was born in Torquay and lived there until she married.
She bought Greenway House, or Greenway as it is also known, and this was Agatha’s holiday home which she shared with her husband. The National Trust acquired Greenway in 2000 and it is open to visitors. You really don’t need to be a fan of Agatha to appreciate the beauty of this place. Greenway is approximately a 25 minute drive from Torquay.
