Just west of the village of Lynton you can walk to the Valley of the Rocks, the walk from Lynton is just under a mile and takes about 20 to 25 minutes each way. Alternatively you can take a little detour on your way out of Lynton. But be aware it is a popular tourist destination so be prepared for busier times of day. The Valley of the Rocks is a dry U shaped valley that runs parallel to the coast in north Devon for just over half a mile. The valley is well known for its wild goats and for its landscape and geology.
