Widemouth Bay has two beautiful sandy beaches stretching about 2 miles south of Bude. The beaches here are dog friendly. It’s a popular beach with families and surfers. If you are staying at Penhalt Farm caravan site you can also walk from Penhalt Farm to Millook Haven, it’s approximately 2 miles along the paths. Millook Beach is a large pebble beach with stunning cliffs towering above, the chevron rock formation were voted in 2014 by the Geological Society of London as one of Britain's top 10 geological sites Getting down to the beach is tricky and steep, it is generally a quiet beach due to limited parking and no facilities. The cliffs at Millook Haven have a natural rock formation that has an impressive series of folds on the rocks. Parking at Millook Haven has limited road parking at Millook, however, there is a small car park about 1/2 mile from Millook Beach which is about a 20 minute walk on the coast path. Stay at Penhalt Farm, just outside of Widemouth Bay. The campsite field is on the cliff top and has spectacular views across Widemouth Bay. There are several hard grass standings and a dog walk. This site is privately owned and is ideal for a stop over.
