If you walk out of the town via the South West Coast Path you will reach the remains of Crinnis Cliff Battery which was built in 1793 to protect Charlestown from the French. Visit the Shipwreck Treasure Museum. Fowey Sat in the mouth of the River Fowey is the popular town of Fowey. Fowey is home to the Fowey Regatta and Carnival Week which is held each August attracting visitors from all over the world. The Regatta is one of the main UK sailing events. It’s a lovely town to visit but if you fancy a quieter time maybe avoid Regatta week. Stay at Fowey CL Lescrow House
